Buying individual roadmaps
Terms of Purchase
Short and without small print: what you buy, what it costs, how you get it and what applies legally. The German version is authoritative; this translation is for information.
1. Provider and contracting party
Prof. Dr. Ulf Pillkahn, Maxhofstr. 28, 81475 Munich, Germany — e-mail: info@operation-zukunft.de (see imprint).
2. Service
The purchase covers access to one technology roadmap on technology-review.com (web version, tied to your e-mail address, sign-in by link without password) and the accompanying poster as PDF and PNG files for download, in English and German. You receive the roadmap as of the time of purchase; version and date are shown on page and poster. Later updates are not part of the single purchase.
All content reflects the publisher’s assessments based on publicly available sources (methodology under Method). It is not investment, legal or other advice for individual cases.
3. Price and payment
The price per roadmap is €19.00, one-off. No VAT is charged or shown (German small-business exemption, Section 19 UStG). Payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin); the available payment methods are shown there (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA direct debit and others). You receive a receipt or invoice by e-mail.
4. Conclusion of contract and delivery
The contract is concluded when payment is completed on the Stripe checkout page. Immediately afterwards you are redirected to the roadmap and receive a confirmation with sign-in link at the e-mail address given during payment. Access is not time-limited for as long as technology-review.com is operated; you can download and keep the files at any time.
5. Right of withdrawal for digital content
Consumers generally have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires once you have expressly consented to performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (Section 356 (5) German Civil Code). You give this consent by completing the payment; the notice is displayed on the checkout page before payment.
Withdrawal instructions (in case consent was not validly given): You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The period begins on the day the contract is concluded. An unambiguous statement suffices (e.g. e-mail to info@operation-zukunft.de). In the event of withdrawal we refund all payments received without undue delay, at the latest within fourteen days, using the same means of payment.
6. Licence
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the roadmap and poster for your own purposes, to print them (including as a wall poster) and to show them within your organisation. Not permitted: making them publicly available, resale, modification and passing the files on outside your organisation. For multi-user licences and company-wide sharing, contact us.
7. Warranty and liability
Statutory warranty rights apply. The roadmaps contain forecasts and assessments with stated uncertainty; no liability is accepted for forecast developments materialising. Otherwise we are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; for slight negligence only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract.
8. Data
We store e-mail address, purchased roadmap, date and the Stripe transaction reference — for access management and accounting. Payment data is processed solely by Stripe. Details in the privacy policy.
9. Final provisions
German law applies; mandatory consumer protection provisions of the consumer’s country of residence remain unaffected. The contract language is German. EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
